It’s the midpoint of the year, so what better time than now to look at what the year has brought us so far? There’s a huge new range of products at Haakaa, with something to love for almost everyone – items that are perfect for your newborn, breastfeeding mothers, or families who have older children and need things to make it easier to be out and about. So, let’s get started!
Happii Bear Nail Care Set
Perhaps a little familiar to many of you is the Happii Bear Nail Care Set. A variation on our enormously popular Baby Nail Care Set, this version has a couple of crucial differences. First is the design – instead of the standard nail trimmer shape, with the trimmer pads slotting into the end, the Happii Bear Nail Care set includes a trimmer in the shape of a polar bear, with the trimmer pad clipping easily into the bear’s nose. This new shape is not only super comfortable to hold, but it’s also cute to help capture your baby’s attention, making those nail-filing sessions just that little bit easier. On top of that, though – it’s rechargeable. That’s right, no more having to hunt around, trying to find spare batteries. Just plug the included USB charging cable into your laptop, computer or adaptor, and you’ll get up to two hours of continuous use – that’s a lot of filing time.
Nipple Cream
Sometimes when breastfeeding, our nipples can become a bit dry, cracked, and painful. Haakaa’s Nipple Cream can be the ideal way to soothe any minor damage you may have to your nipples, and best of all, it’s made from completely natural 100% ultra-pure lanolin. Refined to meet the stringent standards of the US Pharmacopoeia to reduce allergenic properties, this lanolin is made right here in New Zealand. To use, let your nipples air dry after feeding. Take a small amount (about the size of a pea) and, if necessary, soften it between your (clean!) fingers, then gently rub it onto your nipples and areolas. You can use it as often as you need to, and you don’t have to worry about washing your breasts before breastfeeding. You can even use it while pregnant to get your skin soft and supple in preparation for breastfeeding! Use the same amount twice a day before bubs arrives to prevent dryness. Just make sure to be gentle with your nipples, as over stimulating them may have the risk of causing early contractions.
Family Active Stack
The Family Active Stack is an absolute must-have in any busy household. This handy little set lets you store, transport or prepare food in a clean, hygienic and convenient way. Consisting of four silicone storage containers—two 125ml, one 250ml, and one 500ml—plus a perfectly sized PP box and lid to help keep them organised – you can keep your food or knick-knacks in the fridge, cupboard, or when transporting things out and about! Being made of silicone, the individual storage containers are able to go in the fridge, freezer, microwave or oven (just remember to take those lids off when heating or baking!). They even come with label slots (and 20 recording cards) so you can see at a glance what exactly you’ve made and when. The PP box is also safe to go in the fridge, freezer, or microwave and even has holes in the sides to allow air to circulate – just don’t put it in the oven, as it’s not oven-safe.
Easy-Freeze Tray
Next up is the Easy-Freeze Tray. As you may expect from the name, this nifty little tray is ideal for freezing all those little portions of baby food you’ve made, but it’s so much more than that. Made, as ever, from 100% food-grade silicone, this tray can be used to freeze, store, bake, and steam – it can do it all! Like the Family Active Stack, this tray features a label slot and comes with recording cards to quickly identify the contents and ensure you’re using the right ones first. What makes this tray so special, though, is the fact that each compartment is completely separate from the ones next to it. You can bend or twist the tray and press on the base to pop out each individual portion with no effort at all, and each of those compartments has measurement marks to help you keep track of portion sizes, helping to reduce waste.
Bust Oil and Breast Massager Combo
Today’s final item is less of a new single product and more of a great value set – the Bust Oil and Breast Massager Combo. Haakaa’s Breast Massager has long been a breastfeeding must-have.
