How to Use the Haakaa Breast Pump

1. Centre the pump flange over your nipple.

2. Squeeze the body of the pump.

3. Gently release your grip until you can feel suction.

4. Use to express or catch letdown while nursing.

Tip: For stronger suction, fold back the flange to expose the neck of the pump. Centre the neck over your nipple and squeeze the pump's body to expel air. Press pump to your breast, fold the flange back to its original position and release to generate suction.

Light Suction

With the plug closed, centre the main opening over your nipple and gently press down on the back of the Ladybug.

Press to your breast to create gentle suction and begin collecting letdown. The Ladybug should always be worn inside your bra.

Wear one Ladybug on the opposite breast to save letdown while nursing, or one on each breast to collect leakage. Suction is optional and helps to keep the Ladybug in place in your bra - it won't draw out extra milk.

The Ladybug can be worn while lying down if you are using light suction - please lie on the opposite side to whichever breast the Ladybug is on.

No Suction

If your breasts are more sensitive to suction, you can use the Ladybug without applying suction. Simply open the plug before placing it over your breast.

Secure the Ladybug in your bra.

As with the light suction method, the Ladybug will not draw out your milk but will catch leakage and letdown as you go about your day.

Do not lean forward or lie down with the plug open, as your milk may spill out the top.

Wash your Haakaa products in warm soapy water (just standard dishwashing liquid, please avoid bleach-based agents or sterilising tablets), then rinse and dry thoroughly. Sterilise in a steam steriliser or boil for 2–3 minutes in a clean pot of water. Do not use a UV steriliser as this may impact the lifespan of your products.

• Check product condition regularly. Replace if these products show any signs of damage.

• Do not store near any sharp objects.

• Only soft bristle brushes or soft sponges should be used to clean these products. Hard scourers may scratch the surface.

• These products are not toys. Do not use these products for anything other than their intended uses.

• Store products in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight.

• Adult supervision is required.
