We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our incredible Colostrum Collector has won big at the 2023 Baby Innovation Awards! That’s right, this amazing yet simple device has won its category, taking out the top spot in the Breast Feeding Accessories Product of the Year division, and we couldn’t be more proud.
These collectors were designed to fill a very specific need – as you may already know, colostrum was traditionally collected with single-use rigid plastic syringes (or sometimes just a plastic spoon), meaning collecting this precious resource was often uncomfortable as well as wasteful. There was a need to create an alternative to these, something soft for both mum and baby that could be easily sterilised so it could be reused as often as needed. Haakaa works hard with professionals and mums worldwide to create truly beneficial, innovative products that will make mum life just that little bit easier, making this win all the more special. In judging this, the Independent Innovation Awards panel of 12 senior-level industry professionals consider not just innovation but also ease of use, functionality, value, impact and performance, meaning the Haakaa Colostrum Collector is a genuinely remarkable product.
